On a whim, I entered a pre-sale contest to win the following prize for the Adelaide Fringe Festival in Australia, also known as Under the Southern Stars, which BRMC is playing with Cheap Trick, Stone Temple Pilots, Bush, Germein, Electric Mary, The Black Sorrows, Rose Tattoo, Ben Hazelwood, Flyying Colours, The Superjesus, Dallas Crane, The Badloves, and Killing Heidi:

And even crazier is I had the most points by connecting and sharing on social media, which won me the 1st place prize. I’ll have 4 VIP tickets to the first night of this festival in Adelaide, Australia, which would take a minimum of $1000 to fly there and nearly 24 hours of flights to get there.
There are many pros and cons to traveling, but I’m going to put travel plans on hold until I secure more stable employment or win the lottery. The festival is a plus, but not as big as possibly traveling to Australia – a place I’ve never even dreamed of visiting! I’ve met a lot of nice Australian BRMC fans, who travel to the US for shows. It would be nice to meet some who are there too!
If I could, I’d spend a few weeks in Australia just exploring to make the hours of flights worth it. I’m not sure spending only a few days there would be worth it, even just to attend the festival. I’ll continue to do some research to see how practical or feasible a trip would be. South Australia is totally different world, which I know nothing about. Not that I know much about Australia at all!
