Apparently, the Internet really loves Pikachu – only a few days ago, I started seeing Surprised Pikachu memes everywhere and shortly after that, the trailer for Pokemon: Detective Pikachu trailer was released! Here it is in all it’s adorable, CGI-fur glory:

Pokemon Go is still alive and well as I saw from the recent Cyndaquil Community Day. I don’t know why or how Ryan Reynolds decided to play Pikachu, but he’s not a bad choice since Deadpool has never been a very serious character. The trailers of the game seem to show a gruffer voiced actor, but I think it’s a little stranger that way. Based on the movie trailer, the debate rages on about whether Pikachu is too furry or not. Even CNN is reporting on the trailer dividing fans! Here’s a copy of the blog post from Pokemon.com about the movie which is out May 11, 2019!
