Something I meant to do awhile ago was write a blog post thanking Influenster for including me in their Lancome Skin Feels Good Influenster Voxbox, which included some surprisingly good and actually rather expensive products. The campaign is already over, so I’m not getting any extra points for writing this now. I just felt better late than never is a good rule when thanking someone for treating you! Lancome is actually a very high end brand that I usually can’t afford to buy regularly, but it was a real treat trying out the products from Influenster:
Just unwrapping the fancy boxes made me feel like I’d won the lottery or something!
I wrote glowing reviews for all the products, though the foundation was more of a tinted moisturizer that made my face feel a little too oily, and my skin is not normally that oily. Even with a bit of loose powder, my skin felt a little shinier than usual. I loved the prismatic plump lip gloss, even though the color is a little light on me – wearing it feels better than the foundation/tinted moisturizer!
In the end, I was supposed to create a look with all my products for Sephora and came up with a minimalist makeup look that ended up not looking like I was wearing any makeup. I’m not a makeup expert, but I do enjoy watching the videos sometimes. Though I don’t think I can actually do much with it.
Anyways, most of this look was based on the Advanced Genefique Youth Activating Serum and the Renergie Lift Multi-Action Ultra Firming and Dark Spot Correcting Moisturizer, both of which I’ve been using almost everyday since I got them. My skin is not exactly showing much age, but it’s also not smooth and flawless like some people who probably spend more time and money on their skin.
My mom told me my skin looks better, but she only really sees me every couple of months usually. I’ve actually invested in Proactiv MD products lately, so that might also have something to do with it. I admit, that stuff really works!
