Even though Las Vegas is known as a major party city where you can find a wide variety of casinos where you can gamble your money to hopefully win big, there are actually plenty of other things that you can do. Whether you are traveling with family or friends, you can enjoy Las Vegas away from the casinos if you wish to do so.

This is also a massive location spanning 13,000 square feet, and there is a wide array of gifts, treats, and products from Hershey’s that you can purchase and take home with you. So go ahead and splurge on all things sweet and delicious.

Red Rock Canyon: The Ideal Spot for Hikers

Red Rock Canyon is located just outside of Las Vegas, so it is easy to get to, but you will feel like you are a world away from the lights and hustle and bustle of the city. At Red Rock Canyon, you can enjoy the great outdoors with a variety of mountain biking and hiking trails that range from easy to difficult, so there is something there for individuals of all experience and fitness levels.

Walking through the desert is sure to provide you with a truly unforgettable experience. Bring along your camera, take plenty of photographs, and make sure that you take the time to unplug for a little while and really connect with the natural world. You definitely will not regret it, and you likely will not want to leave.

The best time to visit Red Rock Canyon is early in the day, preferably in the morning. This is when the temperature won’t be too high, so you will be much more comfortable. Also be sure to carry plenty of water with you so that you can stay hydrated.

Hoover Dam: A Major Landmark You Should See

Even though the Hoover Dam is roughly one hour away from Las Vegas, it is definitely worth the trip. This famous landmark is one that will provide you with an array of photo opportunities, and you can participate in a guided tour to see the dam and learn all about it. There is also a museum that you can check out to learn even more about the history of the dam and the surrounding area.

You can walk across the Hoover Dam, learn about how it was constructed, and enjoy some breathtaking scenery at the edge of the overlook. Also be sure to head to the lake, which is a great way to enjoy a bit of time on the water without having to deal with the crowded pools in the city.
