Anime Expo 2013 Round up!

I had a good time at Anime Expo despite making a dramatic exit and missing out on a FUNimation industry panel. I guess it’s not a real loss since I just wanted to get something to eat when I was hungry (I was hangry) and paying $20 for parking was a painful ripoff when I could have gone across the street and paid only $10.

Anyways, I didn’t explore as much and tried not to buy too much, I mostly shopped for Camilla d’Errico art prints, comics, and a purple dress tanktop I’d been eying from the start. I also got a couple WeLoveFine shirts and a Catbug plushie. We spent a lot of time at the Skullgirls booth and bought a few things from them too.

A real highlight of the trip was attending the Last Comic Standing panel, which even featured a live band playing “Tank” from Cowboy Bebop (which I recorded and posted on Facebook and below) and a Pillows song from FLCL (which wasn’t as good, but cool to hear them sing in Japanese). I took only a few photos each day, here’s a link to my Flickr photo set. I attended the GameTrailers panel, which focused on Kingdom Hearts – an interesting crossover between Final Fantasy and Disney. Looking forward to the HD Remix!
