NOTE: This post is not a paid advertisement, but I was sent free products for evaluation.
The Influenster JingleVoxBox is like an early Christmas present and definitely made me happy. And there are some exciting products included in this VoxBox:
- Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream
- Biscoff Cookies
- Ore Ida Tater Tots (a coupon)
- Hallmark Itty Bittys (Olaf is pretty cool!)
- NYC City Proof 24HR Waterproof Eyeliner (it’s fun to glam up)
- KISS True Volume Lashes and Strip Adhesive with Aloe (better than mascara for me)
- Pure Ice Nail Polish.
This post will be reviewing everything except the Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream and Ore Ida Tater Tots since I will attempt individual blog posts for those later after proper evaluation.
Biscoff Cookies – tasty crumbly cookies!
Of course, the first thing I tried is the Biscoff cookies! I’m surprised I’ve never tried these cookies before because they’re so good! I don’t buy many cookies these days, but these are definitely ones I’ll be looking out for now. I sampled them in my #JingleVoxBox and instantly loved the crispy light texture and delicately sweet flavors.
European cookies usually aren’t something I’m familiar with, so it’s a nice change from the more soft chewy cookies I’m used to. The crumbliness of the cookie actually made it hard to get a photo of the non broken cookie, but this is as close as it gets. It really went great with my coffee.
Hallmark Itty Bittys – cute collectibles!
Hallmark Itty Bittys are really cute plush toys that are both collectible and popular. Influenster sent me an email before the VoxBox arrived about how Hallmark would donate $1 to Toys for Tots until 12/24 for buying one of the Star Wars Itty Bittys, which apparently are all sold out online.
I got an Olaf from Frozen Itty Bitty, which I introduced to my cat – who at first seemed hesitant and then slightly warmed up to him. Or perhaps it was the other way around? Either way, Olaf is cute and BB-8 is my favorite Itty Bitty that I don’t have! I love the soft fabric that was used on Olaf and I can definitely see myself getting more of them. Honestly, there are so many great Itty Bittys (as you can see from my Pinboard) – it’s hard to choose a favorite.
Pure Ice Nail Polish – a Home Run!
I tried the Pure Ice Nail Polish soon after, in the color Home Run. It appeared at first to be an ice blue though after putting it on, it had more of sea green look. It could be my skin tone, but it was kind of nice if not unusual change for me. I usually prefer darker colored nail polishes with a little sparkle to them and this one was light and solid color – sort of like a pastel coated candy.
I’m not a frequent buyer of nail polish these days, but at under $2 a bottle – this nail polish is hard to resist. Actually, the only polishes I buy these days are solely based on price and color since I find them in the clearance section of Target, but that’s another story for another day.
NYC Color City Proof 24HR Waterproof eyeliner
The NYC Color City Proof 24HR Waterproof eyeliner was as great as I expected. I’ve tried this eyeliner twice in a few days and it goes on smoothly and lasts hours. It really is waterproof since it even stayed on after a shower. It feels softer than other eyeliners going on and looks great once applied. I’m definitely planning to use this eyeliner again. My cat eye looks are definitely going to be easier and more frequent thanks to this eyeliner!
Now before I start on the KISS lashes review, let me preface it with the fact that I’ve never tried any fake eyelashes before and have not had great experiences with most mascaras. That said, I’m probably an ideal candidate for wearing fake lashes. Mascara feels too messy and I sometimes just prefer wearing eyeliner alone.
KISS PureVolume lashes & Strip Lash Adhesive with Aloe
The KISS PureVolume lashes and KISS Strip Lash Adhesive were the biggest surprise for me. I don’t have very noticeable eyelashes in the first place so having long natural looking lashes is like a life changer. It also worked better with my glasses, which tend to get smeared with mascara if I attempt to wear it. I really wasn’t expecting to be able to change the appearance of my eyelashes so quickly and easily.
It was my first actual attempt to wearing false lashes (though I have had quite a lot of them piled up over the years). I’m sure there are differences in how they look by brand, but these were awesome. Very natural looking considering they aren’t. I think my initial lack of interest in fake lashes was that they’d look funny on me and they actually just looked good! Well, to me, at least.
Anyways, I’m going to try other brands to see if it was just a fluke, but I’m much more interested in them now thanks to Influenster. I highly recommend joining Influenster if you like to try and review/share about free products! I basically liked everything I tried so far, which is actually not too surprising.Click here for reuse options!
